Since its birth photography has always had an ability to raise numerous debates regarding ethical and moral questions. With photos from the concentration camps during the Second World War and the photo of guards and prisoners in the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq society was forced to face the question of ethical warfare.

The art museum Trapholt in Kolding is currently hosting the exhibition “Controversial!” with 80 photos, which all caused world wide debate in the last century.
